4 Titles at New Zealand Juniors

A VERY successful Junior Nationals done n dusted for another year. Our Central Juniors finished a very successful individuals Nationals campaign with some fantastic results all round.

Congrats to Anabel Romero-Gemmell (U13), Reece Holmes (U13) & Kaitlyn Watts (U19) who are NZ Champions in their respective age groups. Matt, Jordan & Lachlan also had their final games today and all finished with fantastic wins. Below are final placings. We are very proud of all your achievements.

U13 Cassius Leevey 9th, James Stanyon 13th.
U17 Abbie Holmes 8th, Brooke Reid 17th, Connor Fortuin 23rd.
U19 Annaleise Faint 3rd, Jordan Bell 11th, Matt Adshead 17th, Lachlan Greensill 21st.

The teams event followed the individual event making for a punishing week, the girls were seeded #1 and the boys #9

The girls won the teams event to become National Champions, joint with Auckland, 2 matches each, 6 games each, 109 pts each.  The boys in 9th seed, finished 7th. All players backed up their individual outstanding performances to push themselves again in the teams!

We would like to acknowledge Kaitlyn and Jordans contribution, as have played their last Junior Tournie for Central, what great role models! Also, coaches Victor, Pete and manager (JC) Melville and all the parents who pitched in! Congratulations Team Central!
