Masters keep Seeding

Our team kept it seeding at 9th.
It was a week of firsts for most of our team. First time representing Central, first time playing NZ Masters, first time meeting, first time in Timaru, first time managing a Central team.
Going into the competition we were very much the under dog. But in true Central style our team rose to this challenge and went into battle.

The score sheet will never reflect the outstanding squash that was played by all.
Their are some very sore bodies returning home in need of a rest.
Kent Darlington our anchor had solid preformances all week both on and off the court his wisdom and experience, helped the team through some tight spots.
Jared Scrivens and Emma Rowe had extremely tough competition and both delivered outstandingly with Emma winning her last two matches and Jared taking games from much higher graded players.
Michel Galloway our import was a solid addition to our team and won all 3 of her matches.
Other match winners were Emma Mullins, Michelle Habib and Rob Brownrigg.
Paul Stanyon was our only injury with a pulled calf muscle. But with the help of the team managed to compete in all three games.
The remainder of the the team Peter Finn, Colin Wheeler, Aroha Beattie and Bridget Taylor all managed to take games off higher graded players and fought to the very last point.
As a manager i could not have had a better group of people to go away with, they have reprsented our District with honor and gained the respect of many other District's.
