The Central Masters team battled well at the NZ Masters individual and teams event.  The team had some hard battles against Southland, Canterbury and Otago losing all until the final day when they defeated Northland on count back 21-24 games to Central.  Placing them 9th in the teams event.

Whanganui, October 15, 2023 – The Whanganui Squash Club was abuzz with excitement and celebration as the Central Squash end-of-year awards ceremony took place during the morning of October 15, 2023. The event, which honoured the achievements and dedication of the squash community, was a resounding success.

The 2023 Central Masters representatives are all gearing up for a big week in Invercargill at the New Zealand Nationals.  The team takes on the rest of NZ over 6 days of squash. Our Junior Reps are home after an intensive 6 days at Hutt City, competing in the New Zealand Junior Nationals. They certainly made Central proud with their behaviour on and off the court. The Under 17 age group was dominated by Central players with Anabel Romero-Gemmell and Brodie Bennett both taking out the Under 17 titles.
